"Fishing from a non-motorized raft was a new experience for us and Robert made it a memorable one. The location was breathtaking, the equipment was first class and the fishing was outstanding. He did all the work and we got to have all the fun! Thanks for the great time. "

At Freelance Fishing, we understand that a comfortable fisherman is a happy fisherman. We use all Maravia rafts for our float fishing trips. They are the fastest, most comfortable and durable rafts available, and they provide the best fishing boats in the industry.
Our rafts have custom built platform frames with swivel seats and have a rigid air inflated floor that provides a stable surface for standing and casting. With the guide sitting in the middle of the raft manning the oars, each raft can accommodate two anglers.
Rod and reel rental is available at a rate of $10.00 per person per day.
Hope you've been well and that you had a relaxing trip to Stonewall. Thanks again for a memorable several days fishing the New River. We especially enjoyed that last day on the whitewater section of the river. And the opportunities to catch, or, in my case, lose, some big bass.
I've attached my two pictures of Stacy with her large smallmouth.
"When my best friend and I hooked up with Robert and Free Lance Fishing, we had no idea what was in store for us. We spent two days fishing (one in pretty ugly weather) and pulled in over 100 smallmouth in those two days. I've never seen anyone work so hard to make sure we found and/or stayed in a good spot. With the way the river was flowing, that was not an easy task.
We got an early start each day and had a wonderful lunch on the bank of the river. Not only did we catch quite a few fish, some of them were good sized (over 4 lbs). The trip was made even more enjoyable with some good stories and great conversation. Robert has quite a knack for story telling. He was even patient with putting new hooks (and bait) on every time we snagged or got hung up on the bottom (or in a tree). I don't know that my friend ever baited his own hook on this trip. But
I can't wait to get back on the river with Robert. I've never had so much luck fishing or so much fun doing it. I plan to take my son on the next trip (although he may have to clean up a few of the stories for that trip).
Seriously, I highly recommend you try out Robert and Free Lance Fishing if you want to do some good fishing and have a great time doing it."
Robert, I appreciate your hospitality and good guide service. I canít remember having such a wonderful time, fishing, bullshitting, camping, and of course eating good food. Please thank your wife and daughter for allowing you to take me fishing. Be back in October. Enjoy the photos and the jokes. Darrell
